NFPA 1670 / 1006 Emergency Services Rope Rescue / Confined Space Rescue – Claremore, Oklahoma – FULL

The course covers basic skills to the most advanced technical rescue skills include practical exercises and category based testing, based on requirements of OSHA and NFPA 1006 and 1670. This test should also serve as a means of documenting proficiency in accordance with NFPA 1670 / 1006, ANSI Z490 and OSHA 1910.146.
This course will teach students necessary skills to affect a rescue from confined spaces and to perform technical rope rescue operations in an industrial setting. The course shall include extensive hands-on teaching and problem-solving exercises. Testing includes skills proficiency, scenario-based performance evaluation of the class and a written exam.
The course will begin with basic skills and include practical exercises and testing in both areas of hands-on and a written test as per NFPA 1006, ANSI Z490 standards and TRS training requirements. These tests are designed and implemented to serve as a means of documenting proficiency as it pertains to the training. A complete “course packet” will be presented to the training host at the successful completion of the training.
Additional Terminal Learning Objectives: A review of the “All Stop” and “Wet Conditions Alert” commands, definitions, team member’s responsibilities and situations. Working as a team with a “rescue group supervisor” on concepts involving a technical rescue scene.
